If you have noticed any of your local grocery store prices in the past three years, you have most likely noticed that food prices are getting offensive. As
we are on this journey of finding and examining the elements of womanhood, finance has a large part. It's a great help to your home to know how to stretch a few bucks or your whole food budget. A lot of us women have moved into the homesteading (or apartmentsteading) waving. It takes a lot of your time, but it trains you to have impeccable time management skills! If you don't know, home or apartmentsteading is a lifestyle of self-sufficiency. Pretty much having a functional garden, canning to preserve food, homeschooling your children, having livestock, making meals from scratch ( hello fresh bread!) and much more. Just think of all the things you buy from the market, you would work to supply that yourself.
Based off Proverbs 31:14 we have to travel to get the deals. Back then, I'm sure she had to travel to get quality cattle and other things for her home and family. Today we can do it digitally and travel across practical state lines monthly for bulk fresh farm goods.
Today, I am going to share with you a few tips you can use to save on your next food bill.
Flashfood
Flashfood is an app that allows you to "save money and reduce food waste". This service has amazing deals on regular grocery store goods. You can save up to 50% on items. The process is as followed: download the app, turn on your location and find participating stores (they just pop up!). Next all you have to do is browse each stores deals. Select an item (or 5) and pay via debit, credit, or EBT. Depending on the sell by date you have to pick up that day or the next day. Once you arrive to the store you'll see a purple Flashfood refrigerator. All you have to do is tell customer service your name and they grab your goods out of the refrigerator. Simple! I have scored a lot on this app and it is one of my favorite ways to save. I love a good deal! I have gotten 3 whole organic chickens for under $20, boxes of tomatoes, peppers, and fruit for my canning and meal preps, lamb, and much much more. Every area is different Your area may have 1 store or 10 stores that use Flashfood. However, if the deal is good you can increase your search distance.
To get started, download the app and you can use my code: KHAD37S7K to get $3 in rewards once you make a purchase of $15
Azure Standard
I simply love Azure Standard! It's like Amazon for homesteading on any scale. On this website you can shop food, beauty, herbs, storage, etc. You can get 1lbs-50lbs (or 1 ton if you're out here ballin') of a range of organic flours, different sizes of raw grass-fed cheeses, canning supplies, and more. Here you shop for your goods and a large truck comes to your drop location. You'll have a drop coordinator that organizes everything and you just pick up your order, that's it (They have everything nicely labeled with you name). I love this option because of the bulk options ( bulk is they way if you haven't caught on ) and high quality foods they offer. I make all of our bread so quality
organic flour is a plus and must. I also get my gamma seal lids from there as well.
To start ordering you can visit this link https://www.azurestandard.com/?a_aid=ebadbdecc1

Ibotta
We are in the era of cash back and I am for it! Ibotta is an app that offers cash back for certain purchases at a number of stores. Each week is different and it's even better when there is an in store coupon and the app has cash back on the same item (pro-tip).
Here you just download the app and create an account. Once complete, start adding offers (any receipt can be an offer too, up to 25 cents). Once you finish doing your shopping, scan your receipt and that offer is added to your account. Once you earn $20 you can cash out to your bank, Paypal, or in gift cards.
To start receiving cash back visit https://home.ibotta.com and use my code: vtygwvl and get $5 when you use your first offer and submit a receipt.
Fetch Rewards
This app is receipt based, meaning you just have to scan your receipt and get points. Any receipt is 25 points. However, if you browse their home page you can add offers worth up to 3,000 points. Once you get 10, 000, 25,000, or 50,000 points
you get $10, $25, or $50 in gift cards from a variety of companies including Amazon (of course...). Here you just scan any receipt not older then 14 days old and get 25 points. Or buy some of the items that they are giving points for, scan and get more points.
