The Virtuous Vestments brand was born in 2016 by Khadijah Gibson also known as "Sister Shaqaya". She started sketching modest fashion ideas and using non-traditional fabric to make unique yet stylish clothing. After a few months, she started working with a sewing machine. Many clients had their own garment ideas and the business grew in the custom design department.

        Today Virtuous Vestments is mainly known for event wear.  Virtuous Vestments provides services for wedding dresses, garments for men and other special occasions, the popular men’s burlap vests, exclusive African Mudcloth hoodies, signature hooded dresses, and playful everyday wear.

        Virtual beginner sewing classes are also offered to all that want to feel empowered to learn a new skill that can benefit them and their family. As Virtuous Vestments grows, we want to continue empowering all to take back modesty and make it their own.

       In the coming years, Virtuous Vestments will seek to educate on a larger scale about the dangers of fast fashion, and expand the discussion of modesty and virtue both mentally and physically encouraging all to "Dress With Honor". The brand hopes to continue growing clients, create statement T-shirts, nightwear, home décor, and so much more.
